The Restorer of Paths to Dwell In
In Isa. 58:12 where God declares that He will name His faithful watchman, "The restorer of paths to dwell in", we see revealed the duty committed to all God's last-hour disciples. However, beloved, before any can be a restorer of paths to dwell in for others they must first have the testimony of Ps. 23:1 and 3 which is, "The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." We must know the Lord and be lead and controlled by the Lord before God's testimony concerning us can be, which declares "I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths" Prov. 4:11. Beloved all of God's faithful watchmen live the counsel for Pro. 3:5-6, where it commands, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
We live in an age where right is called wrong, and wrong is called right. Righteousness is labeled sin and sin is labeled righteousness. Darkness is declared to be light and light is declared to be darkness. There is no more clear line of distinction distinguishing the professed people of God from the world. Those who profess to be saved Christians desire and seek after the same things that those of the world desire and seek after. Falsely so called Christians no longer fulfill the great commission given to us by the Lord Himself in Matt. 28:18-20. They no longer live only to serve God by serving and saving others. Selfishness, self-centeredness, self-serving and self-glory is the supreme goal and life work of the majority in today's Christendom. Today's Christian say that they believe that the end is near and that Christ is about to appear, but their life of self-serving proves that they are but liars, who see and hope the end to be afar off.
Brethren, all of Christendom is at fault, however, there is a group who are especially guilty and will bear the wrath of God above all others. The Master clearly pointed out who this guilty group is. In Matt 15:14 our source of truth said, "they be blind leaders of the blind. If the blind lead the blind, shall fall into the ditch." The unfortunate part about the blind leading the blind is that they both, not just the one doing the leading, but they all fall into the ditch. In Isa. 3:12 God declares, "O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths".
The overwhelming majority of professed ministers, preachers, bishops, evangelists and leaders in today's Christendom are not leading God's people in the right paths. The restorers of paths to dwell in are badly needed. The people are taught by their leaders to lightly regard sin. Because the lying leaders proclaim, God's grace will excuse your willful and deliberate love for and practice of iniquity. The people are taught to love, seek for, and desire money as the chief blessing in this life. The people are taught that profession and lip service religion is sufficient to save, no matter what the life is. The false doctrines in Christendom are like the frogs of Egypt, they are everywhere in abundance.
God's people are not taught the true Biblical gospel of Christ. The people are not taught to forsake all for the kingdom of heaven's sake from the very start of the Christian life. The people are not taught that you are either all God's in word and in an obedient life, or, you are all the devil's. They are not taught that there is no middle ground. The people are not taught freedom from sin, they are taught freedom to sin and still have eternal life. The people are not taught no cross no crown. The people are not taught the absolute necessity of living the self-denying, self- sacrificing life of Christ. The Christendom of today does not see that before any can enter into the glory of the Saviour they must live the self-denying, self-sacrificing life of Christ for others. We must all see that we, too, must take up our cross and follow in the foot steps of the selfless life of Christ. These are some of the paths to be restored.
Speaking of the leaders among His people God says in Jer. 6:13-14, "For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, peace, peace; when there is no peace". Brethren, beloved of the Lord, consider this great crime practiced by the leaders in the churches of Christendom. They are greedy for money and material possessions which is covetousness. They preach a gospel that assures the people of peace with God and that they are alright and saved, when in truth, they and their people have no peace with God and are but the synagogue of Satan. Rev. 2:9 The priorities, goals, and lifestyle proves what one is, and where one is going. What one spends their treasure of time, talents, efforts, and money on proves who is their Master and God, not empty lying lip service and false deceitful profession.
"Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Also, I set watchmen over you saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet, but they said, we will not hearken" Jer. 6:16-17. Brethren, beloved of the Lord, God calls you as watchmen to sound the trumpet of warning and truth. God calls His chosen ones "the restorers of paths to dwell in". Compromised, world-loving, sin-practicing Christendom of today needs the primitive gospel and godliness. It needs a call back to purity and righteousness, and a call for a separation from sin and the fleshly ways of the world.
Beloved, he that hath an ear let him hear the prophecy of Micah 4:1-2, "But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem." Study the Word of God to show yourselves beloved, that this same prophecy is again recorded in the Book of the Prophet Isaiah chapter 2 verse 1-3. The Bible says in the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established. The prophets Micah and Isaiah foretell the "restorers of paths to dwell in." These restorers receive the word and law of the Lord directly from the heavenly Zion and Jerusalem. They also in the last days restore the paths for God's people to walk in, to go up to the mountain of the Lord and into the house of the Living God.
This is your calling where ever you are and in whatever church you attend. You are to be "The RESTORER of PATHS to DWELL IN."
