YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN

            The truth is when one knows God they are as a results unavoidably born again.  To know God is to be intimate in spirit with God, and all who engage in this character intercourse with their Creator, become new creations.  During the intercourse of knowing God, God implants his seed into us, and a new life begins.  No matter what your biological parentage and relationships, we become new creations and members of a new family - even the family of God.  We are no more of this world, in any relationship or way, for God declares, "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold all things have become new."  II Cor 5:17  We are new born creations, therefore all things become new and different.  This same truth the Prince of Teachers taught while in the flesh among men.  In Matt 12:46-50 we read this record, "While He (speaking of Jesus) yet talked to the people behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with Him.  Then one said unto Him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without desiring to speak with thee.  But he answered and said unto him that told him.  Who is my mother?  And who are my brethren?  And He stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, behold my mother and my brethren!  For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is  my brother, and sister, and mother."  Jesus taught us to love all men, even to the point where we would give our life for them.  But equally the Master taught, that all who know God, according to the will of God, and thus are born again and live God's will, are members of the family of God.  Only those who are born of the Spirit are fellow family member of the born again.

            The Lamb of God gave the clearest revelation ever given on this subject, and it is recorded in the gospel of John chapter 3 verses 3-7  In response to a Pharisee named Nicodemus who came to Jesus by night "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God.  Nicodemus saith unto him, how can a man be born when he is old?  Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born?  Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again."

            Note Beloved Jesus did not say that being born again is optional, or is a good idea, but rather He declares "you must be born again" otherwise you cannot and will not see the kingdom of God.  Only the Family of God will see and enter the Kingdom of God their eternal home.

            Further, we find in this revelation taught by the Master this profound reality "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit”.   Beloved, when we are born again we are no longer of this world, for behold God says all things are become new.  The Master taught us that when we are born of the Spirit we are spirit.  We, though still housed in flesh bodies, are no longer fleshly or earthly minded.  We no longer desire firstly the world or the possessions and riches of the world, and we no longer spend any time seeking to accumulate material earthly possessions and riches for selfish reasons.  Those who do live to accumulate and enjoy material possessions and riches, though professing to be born again are but lying and self-deceived, and children of their Father the Devil.

            The Holy Word says in the gospel of John chapter 4 verse 24 "God is a Spirit and they that worship God must worship Him in Spirit and Truth."  Only one who is born of God can truly worship God in Spirit and in Truth.  After all, Jesus said, that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit.  Therefore, being now born again or being born of the Spirit, which makes us Spirit, we are now created capable of worshiping Spirit in and with Spirit.  

            When we add this wonderful spiritual reality 1 Cor 6:17, which declares, "But he that is joined unto the Lord is one Spirit."  We deepen the beauty of this profound, foundational spiritual reality.

            In summation, we start with the statement of the Master, "You must be born again!” This is a must.  One who is not born of the Spirit is not a child of God.  So we must be born again through which we enter into the kingdom of God, or we may say the Family of God.  These alone are the truly redeemed.  Further, holy instructions teach us that, "God is a Spirit”, and those that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit according to the Truth.  Then we see in the revelation from God that "that which is born of the spirit is spirit."  The greatest of all miracles is not the healing of the physically cripple or blind, or rising the physically dead.  It is the ultimate miracle of God in performing what the Bible calls the operation of God, which gives to fallen sinful human beings a rebirth - a recreation in Spirit.  Transforming rebels and sinners into the glorious condition and position of being the Sons and Daughters of the Creator of the entire universe is the greatest of all possible miracles.  We understand from holy revelation that "he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit."  The mystery of God, the mystery of redeeming love, by the power of creative love and wisdom recreates fallen human beings back into the perfect spiritual image of God.  God performs this miracle on a level that makes mankind one with God, which is a oneness higher than even the angels can know!  It is a union that is more exalted than mankind had when he was originally created.  Mankind becomes one spirit with God.  1 Cor 6:17   Mankind becomes partaker of the Divine nature.  Rom 2:14, 2 Pet 1:4  Mankind has the mind of God.  1 Cor 2:16, Heb 8:10.  Mankind becomes the expression of the will of God Phil 2:13.  Mankind becomes the very body of the Infinite One. 1Cor. 12-31, 1 Cor. 6:19.  Mankind even shares the very throne of God throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity.  Rev. 3:21-22.

            Beloved, words fail of imparting spiritual truth and spiritual reality.  The holy record declares that the things of the Spirit are spiritually discerned.  1 Cor 2:14   Except that God impart into you His Spirit, and by his power permit you to experience what we have been revealing here in this study, it is impossible for any of us to have any more than a surface theoretical knowledge.  This will save no one.  These truths must be experienced to genuinely understand their meaning and benefit from God's reality and truthfulness.  Being born again is not just a fact to know, it is an experience to be experienced before it is of any value to anyone.  Beloved, just seek the Lord with all your heart for this necessary experience, which is entry into the Family of God - the Kingdom of GOD!
